Antivirus / PC Security Suite warnings for PromptPal v2

PromptPal v2 uses a technique called process injection to connect to the underlying command shell instances. Some of the more aggressive A/V or firewall suites may view this as suspicious behavior and block it or flag up to you, even though it's exactly what they themselves do. If you encounter a warning or other problem when launching PromptPal v2 or opening new tabs, the first thing to try is adding the following PromptPal files to the "white list" of your chosen protection suite:

PromptPal
PromptPalAux
PromptPalAuxDLL

The above files are all scanned and digitally signed before they're incorporated into the installer.

Only a very few protection suites will be a problem. Based on previous experiences, things like ZoneAlarm will likely be on that list, but Windows Defender and Microsoft Security Essentials are fine.
