Frequently Asked Questions

ColorCache disappears completely when I minimize its window

This is almost always due to the combination of following:
1) You have the "Minimize to system tray" option set in Tools -> Options -> Shortcuts, and
2) Windows 10 is automatically hiding ColorCache's system tray icon

To confirm this, minimize ColorCache then press the little chevron control on the Windows taskbar that shows hidden icons. You'll see ColorCache's icon hiding in there.

If that is the case, there are two things you can do. You could just disable the minimize to tray option, or you could tell Windows to stop hiding the icon in the tray. The latter is most easily achieved by pressing the taskbar chevron control to view hidden tray icons, and then dragging ColorCache's icon back into the tray.
